Honestly, it's okay to be alone on Valentine's Day AND its okay to treat yourself. I actually enjoy planning myself a relaxing night to myself, whether its a holiday or not. Here are some ideas to have a relaxing "you" night.
Spa Night: Buy yourself a bath bomb, a candle, and a face mask and RELAX! I love the Lush Brand bath bombs (they even have cute 'love' themed ones) and sheet masks from the Avatara. Sheet masks are my favorite cause there is no mess, they are easy to apply and remove, and are cheap! You can even jump in the bath with a good book too. I just started Killing Monica by Candace Bushnell (the author of Sex and the City and The Carrie Diaries). So far, I'm loving it!
Movie Night: Buy some movie theater popcorn and throw on a video on Netflix. Some of my guilty pleasure movies are How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Grease, Friends with Benefits, and Caddy-shack (cue me dancing to "Any Way You Want It" by Journey next to my bed). Any Rom-Coms or Comedies are a hit in my book! Sometimes I like to mix Skittles and popcorn - I love the salty and fruity tastes.
At Home Mani/Pedi: Spoil yourself by soaking your feet in Epsom Salt and pick out a fun toe polish color. My current fave is a Tiffany blue color called 'Gelato on my Mind' from OPI. A foot scrub and file are an added bonus to get your feet ready for summer (hopefully it comes sooner than later, right?). My favorite quick and easy mani involves applying imPress nails. They stay on for about a week and a half or so and come in so many fun colors - always with a patterned nail option. I chose the pack called ' Lighten Up,' which comes with a fun rose gold mirrored nail option and pale pink nails!
Eat the dang cookie. Or cupcake. Or doughnut. TREAT YO SELF. One isn't going to hurt you and there are always some cute options around the holiday. I bought this sugar cookie from Target and it was actually pretty yummy! Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
