Easy Summer Hair - Lauren Conrad Inspired

I've been LOVING this half up, high pony hairstyle for summer! It only takes me about 15 minutes to do and is fun and flirty. I was inspired by Lauren Conrad and her gorgeous beach waves and high pony, so here is my take on it. I love when my bangs are out of my face and I'm not constantly touching them. You don't need to be a hairstylist to nail this look - which is why I love it - perfect for a night out with friends, hanging around the house, running errands, or date night!

Things you will need: A curling rod (mine is Conair brand), Hair spray (Big Sexy Hair Spray & Stay), Humidity spray (Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Spray), Small rubber band (not pictured), Comb (Wet Brush Wet Comb), and Clips (Wet Brush Styling Clips). { Click links to purchase }

Step One: Section Hair and secure with a clip. I like to take the whole top section of my hair and clip it up to get it out of the way when curling the bottom.

Step Two: Start curling! I wrap my hair around the rod 2-3 times, leaving the ends out, as it gives a more relaxed look to the curl. I always curl away from my face. Curl whole bottom section.

Step Three: Once curling is finished for the bottom half, section the hair for the high pony. I like to take a almost tear-drop shape to put in the pony. Tighten to desired height and loosen front for desired volume.

Step Four: Curl remaining hair and pony tail, remembering to leave the ends out!

Step Five: Spray Humidity spray all over hair, followed up by Hair spray. I love the combination of these two products (especially living in a super humid area). My curls last two days without needing a touch up - just a little dry shampoo and I'm good to go!

Step Six: Comb out curls and pony to create the relaxed, beach wave look and you're finished! Easy-peasy :)

Final look! Ready to take on the day, in only 15 minutes. Can't wait to share more easy hairstyles with you all! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment, or sharing what you'd like to see next.
